Claire's Kitchen Cafe is built on the basic premise that food and drinks don't need to be pretentious or expensive to be delicious, healthy, memorable, and fulfilling. Our goal is is simple: to create food you love, drinks you crave, and spaces where you want to hang out with your friends and family.
Founded by Manhattan real estate brokers, Claire's was planned as a means to enhance life in the local NYC community, a chance to bring people together in a city that never sleeps. The founders have distinguished backgrounds as high-leve athletes, so it was important to them that the menu be healthy and wholesome. Nothing is fried and everything is fresh daily, all available at friendly prices.
With family histories coming from Israel, Claire's menus naturally feature a fusion of Mediterranean and American staples. So enjoy trusted favorites and try things you've never had before, that's the spice of life. L'chaim!
The Founder
Ori Degani, Partner
Ori is the founder and CEO of One Manhattan Real Estate, a boutique real estate brokerage. Prior to his career in real estate, he held a variety of positions, including a restaurant manager, which taught him the importance of customer service - listening to every client's needs and finding appropriate solutions. He also worked for many years with his family business, Geocartography, developing business management and customer relations skills. He joined the Real Estate Management Program at the Tel Aviv University, business school faculty. A former Israeli 400M national champion, Ori remains an enthusiastic athlete who enjoys training, competing, and interacting with the NYC community.
The Muse
"Claire" is the embodiment of what we love about the fabric of NYC and inspires our offerings at every location. The name itself means "bright and shining" in Israeli, which is what we aim to be. She is:
• Adventurous, a world travel and lover of all things new;
• Artistic, willing to express herself and to savor the vibrant world around her;
• Colorful, ready tp be bold and noticed and appreciated for her individuality; and
• Mysterious, always offering something intriguing and new to the people she meets.
Claire was crafted by the world-renowned mural and oil painter Samuel Hagai, a native of Netanya, Israel. He began to paint at the age of 12, a self-taught master who loved to put oil paint on canvas. Samuel started sharing his art with family, friends, neighbors, and eventually local communities in Israel. He quickly gained recognition, and was soon noticed by art collectors, galleries, and followers all around the world.
Samuel's paintings can be found in galleries and walls around the world, including Los Angeles, San Francisco, Paris, London, and numerous cities in Israel. Samuel's focus is on authentic nature views and personal portraits, offering a realistic style with extraordinary detail, passion, and craftsmanship.
